Bandits in Adamawa evicted by police

Four robbery suspects, kidnappers arrested by Police in Kogi-TopNaija.ng

Adamawa State Police Command alongside local hunters in Gangtum community in Ganye LGA of the state have knock over bandits from their hideout in the state.

The exercise which lasted for several hours led to the rescue of a 60-year-old Abdullahi Buba and Halima Ishaku.

The Command’s spokesman, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, in a statement, explained that the operation was carried out by personnel of the Ganye Division and hunters from Ganye at the Shiga da Iya Hill situated at a remote side of Gangtum village, saying that the exercise yielded positive results.

According to the statement, the victims were kidnapped by the gang on January 19, 2022, and taken to the hideout, while ransom was being negotiated.

The statement further explained that two of the suspected kidnappers were neutralized during the exchange of gunfire with the police and hunters, saying that others escaped with various degrees of bullet wounds.

Ganye is a town and Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria. Jada and Toungo Local Governments were carved out from Ganye local government area of Adamawa state Nigeria.
