Ayra Starr, Tems emerge Nigeria’s most streamed artists globally on Spotify
Her words painted a picture of a man who is more than just a colleague—Rema is a source of inspiration and a steadfast confidant in her life.
The Nigerian artiste in quote said:
“Out of all the famous people I met, who is my closest friend? I think about it. I’ll say somebody that keeps inspiring me and is such a good friend of mine and, you know, a brother, a mentor.
“Like, I don’t want to say mentor entirely, but I’ll just say someone that is doing the same thing I’m doing, but at the same time, he’s been here before me and he knows how to move and he keeps inspiring is Rema.
“Shout out to Rema. That’s my GOAT. That’s my guy. That’s my friend. The way it comes from my friend.”
With heartfelt affection, Ayra Starr declared Rema to be her GOAT—Greatest of All Time—and issued a playful warning to anyone who might try to mess with her friend. This candid revelation underscores the special bond they share, transcending the typical industry camaraderie.
This heartfelt moment came just days after Ayra Starr humorously revealed that fellow artist Tems often doesn’t return her calls. In a fun challenge during the interview, Ayra Starr was asked to FaceTime a celebrity friend. The suggestion to call Tems was quickly dismissed with a knowing smile.
