Aubameyang beaten up by Armed Robbers in Barcelona

Former Arsenal player and current Barcelona striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang became a victim of an armed robbery attack in the early hours of today at 1 a.m. after an armed group of thieves broke into his home.

The thieves were said to have climbed into his garden and came in with guns to threaten the player.

Aubameyang according to the reports was beaten up with metal bars before they evaded the star’s property.

Current report suggests no one suffered additional harm, with Aubameyang’s wife taking the case to the police as investigation to the incident is underway.

The four armed men reportedly took with them multiple valuable items from the player’s safe including jewelries before fleeing in a white Audi A3.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has been a topic of a transfer exit from Barcelona during this summer window with links to Chelsea and Manchester United among the reports.

The Gabonese is said to have signed a clause in his Barcelona contract that sees him earn a salary increment though without promises of earning a regular starting berth in the match day squad.

Footballers getting burgled in their homes aren’t often uncommon, with the crimes usually taking place when the player is away on match days.

Aubameyang has seen himself net 13 goals in 24 Barcelona appearances but has been an unused substitute in each of their last two La Liga matches, including Sunday night’s four-goal victory at home to Real Valladolid.
