Atiku Abubakar’s Convoy Attacked In Borno
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s convoy was attacked in Borno State.
As reported by media publication, Daily Trust, the presidential candidate, Atiku’s convoy was attacked in Maiduguri, the State’s capital on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
In a video making rounds in social media, a group of citizens could be seen running in different directions as gunshots went off.
This comes hours after the presidential campaign trail of the PDP landed in Borno, an All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled state.
In a bit of twist, Dino Melaye, the former lawmaker and spokesman of the Atiku Campaign organisation accused the ruling APC of being behind the attack in Borno.
According to Melaye, more than 70 people were hospitalised.
He said; “They wanted to prevent us from doing holding the campaign, as we speak, 74 people were injured and hospitalised.
“Several vehicles were vandalised by APC thugs.”

As at filing this report, the APC camp was yet to react to Melaye’s allegation.
Meanwhile, sources said hundreds of suspected political thugs were spotted at strategic locations along Maiduguri/Kano road.
