Aston Villa vs. Manchester United: Confirmed Lineup
Aston Villa versus Manchester United seems the only bigger fixture of the matchday 7 weekend just before the international break comes calling. It is of course the game that all eyes will be on as Erik ten Hag faces mounting pressure to turn things around for the Red Devils.
With the Old Trafford side taking a tour to Birmingham to face off Aston Villa at Villa Park, redemption and condemnation stand shoulder to shoulder waiting for the Dutchman at full-time after Manchester United got themselves into a terrible start to a Premier League season.
The 20-times Premier League champions currently sit 14th on the league table, 4-points away from the relegation zone, which already spells how terrible the Red Devils have been since their last 6-premier league fixtures. So far, they have only recorded 2 wins; the first coming on opening weekend against Fulham and the 3-0 defeat of Southampton at the Saint Mary’s.
Since then, they have lost 3 of their fixtures from the last 6 and drawn 1. Aston Villa can either be an improvement on those statistical tally or add to the negatives, depending on what outcome the players who step on to the turf for Manchester United decide.

Then again, the decision isn’t a one-sided thing considering Aston Villa themselves are a much improved team this season with a better form that sees them in 5th place with a win over Manchester United, capable of taking them to 4th spot assuming Chelsea fail to beat Nottingham Forest.
Villa boss, Unai Emery will want to seize such opportunities if a win over Manchester United is possible. But will Erik ten Hag allow that or redeem himself with this fixture? It remains to be seen.
