Why Guardiola stands out from the rest -- Piers Morgan

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has stated that if his team drops points in their upcoming Premier League game, Arsenal will be crowned champions. City is going neck-to-neck with his former assistant Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for the title this season.

Guardiola’s side is eight points behind the Gunners with a game in hand. Arsenal is currently leading the table with 72 points. Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s Game Week 30 match against Southampton, Guardiola has urged his squad to remain focused.

When asked about the title race with Arsenal, Guardiola replied: “I can’t talk about Arsenal now. Our game against them is in 10 days or two weeks. But if we drop points before then, Arsenal will be champions.”

Guardiola’s focus is now on Saturday’s late kick-off against Southampton. Manchester City will be looking to secure a win in order to keep the title race alive. If they fail to do so, Arsenal will have a golden opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table.

This season’s title race has been one of the most fiercely contested in recent memory. Manchester City and Arsenal have been the standout teams and have consistently shown their quality throughout the campaign. It remains to be seen who will come out on top, but Guardiola and his team will be determined to fight until the end.
