Arsenal 'will' win the Premier League -- Guardiola

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola begins his typical mind games again as he tips his opponents Arsenal for the premier league title. According to the Spaniard, he believes if his team cannot conjure up 9-points from their remaining 3 fixtures, then the Gunners will have a path to winning their first premier league title in 20-years.

Following a commanding 5-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday, City remains hot on the heels of league leaders Arsenal, trailing by just one point.

Arsenal, who secured a 3-0 win against Bournemouth, maintain a slender advantage over Guardiola’s side, bolstered by a superior goal difference, which stands six goals better than City’s.

In a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Guardiola emphasized the critical nature of their upcoming fixtures, cautioning against any slip-ups.

“The message is not about that, Arsenal also sent a message. He (Arteta) wins the games and they win the games comfortably. But yes, one week left, two for the FA Cup, but the Premier League has one week left and three games.”

When questioned about the significance of their resounding win over Wolves in sending a message to their title rivals, Guardiola redirected the focus to Arsenal’s strong performances under manager Mikel Arteta.

“We have to take nine points, otherwise Arsenal will win the title and hopefully, we can come back here in a few days and have the chance against West Ham to come here and win the title.”

Acknowledging Arsenal’s consistent form, Guardiola underscored the urgency for City to secure maximum points in their remaining matches. With just one week left in the Premier League season and three games on the horizon, Guardiola stressed the imperative of claiming nine points to keep pace with Arsenal’s title charge.
