“Arsenal will beat Man City 1-2” — Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas, former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder, has offered his prediction for the upcoming Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester City, foreseeing a potential upset in favor of his former club.
Speaking on the Planet Premier League podcast, Cesc Fabregas expressed his belief that Arsenal could defy expectations and secure a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
He attributed this forecast to Manchester City’s offensive approach under manager Pep Guardiola and Arsenal’s previous success against the reigning champions.
Highlighting Arsenal’s 1-0 win in the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium last year, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring the decisive goal, Fabregas suggested that the Gunners possess the capability to replicate their triumph.
Despite acknowledging the significant challenge posed by Manchester City, Fabregas maintained that Arsenal could surpass expectations.
He based his prediction on his observations of both teams, injury reports, and his perception of their current form.
“I think realistically, and I’m just saying based on what I see and what I feel and the perception that I have from both teams, and the news coming out from injuries and doubts… what I have in my mind is 1-2 to Arsenal.”
