Arsenal hot on heels for new striker with 4-man shortlist

The hunt for a new number 9 beckons for Arsenal and according to the latest reports from Daily Mail, some exciting names are being lined up to take the reins as the Gunners’ marksman.

Arsenal Football Club according to reports is intensifying its search for a new striker ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with the Gunners reportedly shortlisting four potential candidates to bolster their attacking options.

Despite their efforts during the winter transfer period, Arsenal was unable to secure their primary target, Ivan Toney of Brentford.

However, according to reports from the Daily Mail, the North London club has not abandoned their pursuit of Toney and continues to consider the forward as a viable option.

Alongside Toney, Arsenal has identified three other players as potential targets to strengthen their attacking lineup. These include Victor Osimhen from Napoli, Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, and Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

The decision to pursue additional firepower stems from concerns over the injury record of current striker Gabriel Jesus, coupled with the club’s determination to fortify their squad depth and avoid potential future setbacks.

Manager Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s recruitment team are believed to be assessing each candidate meticulously, weighing factors such as playing style, suitability to the team’s tactics, and overall contribution to the squad.
