Arsenal are the only team that can do it — David Silva

Former Manchester City and Spain midfielder, David Silva opens up about the current 2023/24 premier league campaign and the challenges ahead for every team in the league, including North London side, Arsenal.

In the Spaniard’s analysis, he tips the Gunners as the only worthy challenge for Pep Guardiola’s side in the premier league title race.

This follows Arsenal’s dominance last season that saw the Gunners almost clinch the top spot in the league against David Silva’s former club, City.

It was only a poor finish to the season that saw Arsenal crumble at the last minute to hand Manchester City the title on 5 points.

David Silva tips Mikel Arteta’s team to continue on same run of form this season in the league, as he considers no challenge to the Etihad side despite the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United coming to the table.

Manchester City currently remain the only side with a 100 percent record start in the first four games in the league.

Pep Guardiola’s team have won four games from their first four fixtures, while Arsenal have 10 points after dropping points against Fulham in week 3.

“Arsenal are the only team I can see who maybe have a chance of challenging City. The rest? I don’t think they can.

“I watched nearly all of City’s games in the Champions League last season, I couldn’t win it when I was there, but I’m so happy for the club that they were finally able to do it,” David Silva told the UK Mirror.
