Arrest Paul Enenche, Dele Momodu, Dino Melaye – APC orders DSS
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to invite the General Overseer of Dunamis Church, Paul Enenche, politicians Dele Momodu and Dino Melaye for questioning over ‘inciting comments’ made about last Saturday’s election.
“In certain places, there was the report of more presidential ballot papers, but there were ballot papers for the senatorial and house of reps. There were other places where a particular party’s logo was said not to be on the ballot papers at all. Also there were cases of thugs snatching ballot papers, under age viting of young children.” Paul Enenche had said.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications for APC PCC, Dele Alake, said, “We are particularly concerned and call on the State Security Services and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately restrain persons such as Dino Melaye, Dele Momodu and a certain Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Church from their clear call to violence.”
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who also spoke at the press conference, criticized Pastor Enenche for his comments on the altar about the elections, describing him as a “disgrace” to the Pentecostal mission society.
In his church on Sunday, February 26, Enenche warned that every attempt at scuttling the will of the people or frustrating the zeal of the youth will produce unimaginable consequences.
The APC has accused the opposition of trying to heat up the polity and intimidate their supporters, while warning that Christians in the country should rise up to call Enenche to order before the invitation by security agencies.
The Department of State Services had earlier invited Femi Fani-Kayode for questioning over his tweet about the election. The INEC is yet to announce the official results of the election, and the tension is still high in many parts of the country.
