The rift between the Ex Governor’s wife and Bianca Ojukwu has propelled the Coalition Of South East Youth Leaders to call on the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba.

The call was to immediately order the arrest and prosecution of the immediate past first lady of Anambra state, Ebelechukwu Obiano for allegedly attacking Bianca, the widow of the late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu on Thursday.

Goodluck Ibem, President General, and Okey Nwaoru, Publicity Secretary, reffered to what Mrs Obiano displayed at the swearing-in ceremony of the new governor of the state, Charles Soludo, as an “insult to Ndigbo.” This was said in a statement they had issued.

The statement read,

“The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, the umbrella body of all the youth groups in the South East geopolitical zone Condemns in strongest terms the despicable and disrespectful action of Mrs Obiano the wife of former governor of Anambra State Mr. Willie Obiano at the inaugural event of the new Governor of Anambra State Professor Charles Soludo in Anambra State Government House.

“It is the height of insult on the entire Igbo nation for Mrs Obiano to slap the wife of our revered and great Igbo Leader and Icon Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu.

“Mrs Obiano has desecrated the temple and honour of the entire Igbo nation and she has to be disciplined in accordance with the offence she has committed.

“We demand the immediate arrest and prosecution of Mrs Obiano by security agencies. As youth leaders of the entire Igbo nation, we cannot and will not accept or play down on such great insult on the wife of our great leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu.

“Mrs Obiano has purchased some goods and those goods she bought have to be supplied to her in full without removing any item from the goods she bought.

“We, therefore, declare Mrs Obiano the wife of former governor of Anambra State Mr. Willie Obiano persona non grata in Igboland for desecrating Alaigbo.

“The order has been given and it must be strictly adhered to.“

Meanwhile, Activist Deji Adeyanju  said the two women should be arrested by the police for breach of public peace, noting that both Bianca and Ebelechukwu set a bad precedent for young ladies present at the event.
