On Friday, the Nigerian Air Force on Friday transferred the case of the late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile to the Nigeria Police Force for investigation and prosecution of the prime suspect, Nehemiah Adejoh.

This is coming 24 hours after Arotile was buried at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Thursday. Also handed over to the police were Igbekele Folorunsho and Festus Gbayegun who were with Adejoh when the vehicle hit Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot.

NAF also handed over the Kia Sorento SUV with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA involved in the lone accident on NAF base, Kaduna.

Arotile was knocked down in the process of reversing the car, the source said. The source added that the driver and other occupants of the car have been taken into custody by NAF.

The controversial circumstances leading to her death have led many Nigerians to call on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, most especially NAF to probe Arotle’s death.
