Apostle Suleman’s Convoy Attacked By Gunmen, Three Police Men Killed
The convoy of popular, controversial Nigerian cleric Apostle Johnson Suleman was attacked by unknown gunmen, leading to the death of policemen and others.
Report coming in stated that the attack on the Man of God, Apostle Suleman happened around the Auchi area of Edo State, South-south Nigeria, on Friday, October 21.
According to Punch Newspaper, seven people were killed, including three police officers who were trying to wave off the attack with the gunmen.
Speaking on the attack, the lawyer of the cleric, Mr. Samuel Amune said that the cleric escaped death by a whisker.
Apostle Suleman was heading to an unidentified location hours after returning from a trip to Tanzania.
Confirming the attack, the Edo State Police spokesperson, Chuidi Nwabuzor, stated that the Apostle’s driver was amongst those who were killed.
Mr. Nwabuzor said the gunmen killed six people in the attack.
One of the gunmen was shot dead during the attack, according to the police spokesperson.
Mr. Nwabuzor said the police were searching for Mr. Suleman’s domestic worker, who is apparently missing after the attack.

The deadly attack on the Cleric’s convoy speaks lowly of the security in the country, Nigeria. In what seemed like a misplaced priority in the Buhari administration, there has been an increase in such attacks in different parts of the country.
