Apostle Johnson Suleman convoy attack

General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has finally let out more details concerning the past attack on his convoy by some supposed gunmen.

TopNaija recalls that the Man of God was attacked about a year ago by armed men along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State, resulting in the death of six individuals, including three police officers.

As the incidents faded away from the headlines, Suleman revealed the culprits behind the event to his congregation.

Apostle Suleman claimed that a police officer, who remains unknown, confessed to his crimes, stating that he was the mastermind of the attack all along.

The cleric, in a live broadcast posted on the Facebook page of Omega Fire Ministries on 2 September 2023, alleged how the said policeman confessed to plotting the incident.

Apostle Suleman had stated that an unnamed police officer had narrated how he had deployed officers to the cleric, and how they all died thanks to divine intervention.

The who cleric said, “I have never met the guy (the police officer) in my life,” however noted that he told the Nigerian police he would tell his congregation about the unidentified police officer.

While explaining how the mastermind police officer plotted the attack, Suleman noted that no police officer attached to his convoy had died before, but one of those policemen who died in the attack last year “sold us out.”

The idea, according to the priest, was for the police officer who sold them out to drive him on that faithful day so that when the gunmen struck, they would flee and leave him to perish at the hands of the shooters.

However, on the actual day of the assault, God had ministered to him to drive alone, and this is how the whole scheme failed.

He stated, “The plan was that he (unnamed officer) should drive, and I will be seated. When they (gunmen) started shooting, he would open the car and run out.

“I took the (car) key, and when I did that, he bent his head.

“He (the unnamed officer) was the first to be wasted.”

The cleric furthermore disclosed that he informed the Nigerian police, and the officer who confessed to masterminding the attack had been arrested.

The Apostle said before his arrest, the officer apologised, but he refused it, telling him to make the apology public.

“You defamed me in public, go and make the apology in public,” the cleric told the officer.

Meanwhile, when the platform contacted the police spokesperson in Edo State, Chidi Nwabuzor, he said he wouldn’t respond to the allegation because the cleric didn’t mention the name of the accused police officer.

Nwabuzor said, “The matter is with the Force Criminal Investigation Department.”

Also, the Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, did not respond to calls and a text message seeking his reaction.
