Anchor University, Lagos (AUL), a faith-based University owned by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry will hold her second matriculation ceremony on Saturday at the University’s Multipurpose Hall, Ayobo, Lagos.

In a press release signed by the Assistant Registrar, Strategy and Communications, Mr. Sanusi Okesola, the ceremony coming barely one year after the first is a further proof of the university’s resolve to run consistent and seamless academic programmes devoid of interruption and distraction.

Anchor University began academic activities last year, February 6, 2017, with a well-articulated vision to set the pace in quality education in Africa, and beyond, and to promote Christian principles and godliness in the lives of her students and graduates.

For the last twelve months, the statement said AUL has proven true to this goal by laying sound and quality foundations upon which a globally competitive, ICT-driven University system is expected to be built.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, AUL, Prof. Joseph Afolayan in a recent chat with the media, “Anchor University’s goal is not to complete the number of the institutions in Nigeria; the focus is to stand out and compete with the best globally.”

With the blessing and support of the Chancellor and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Dr. William Kumuyi, a highly respected cleric and former University don who has an exceptional passion for the youths and quality education, Anchor University is bound for greatness.

Apart from the new students, the matriculation ceremony is expected to be graced by their parents, the University’s stakeholders and some members of University’s proprietor-base. The matriculation would be preceded by the maiden Parents’ Consultative Forum which will be held at the same venue.
