Amotekun boss is dead (PHOTO)

The commander of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun in Ogun State, David Akinremi is dead.

Akinremi succumbed to a prolonged illness on Monday evening.

Sources reveal that Akinremi had been silently battling an undisclosed ailment for an extended period before finally succumbing to the illness.

Akinremi, a retired Commissioner of Police, played a pivotal role in establishing Amotekun in 2021 when the corps was officially launched in Ogun State.

Soji Ganzallo, Commander of the State-owned So-Safe Corps, a sister security agency to Amotekun, confirmed Akinremi’s passing on Tuesday.

Ganzallo expressed deep sorrow and described the death of Akinremi as an unexpected and painful blow to the entire community.
