“Always be selling yourself” – Simi advises upcoming artistes

Nigerian singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, popularly known as Simi has given a piece of advise to up-and-coming artistes.

Simi took to her social media page to give her advise to new artistes wanting to break into the Nigerian music industry. She explains what new artistes ought to do in order to gain popularity in the music seen.

She indicated that it is not possible to be hiding on social media as an artiste, and then, thinking you will be known. In other words, it is not concomitant to hide yourself on social media as an artiste, then wanting people to know you.

“You a “serious” growing artist and you have only 3 posts on your page. A picture of the sunset, one of aeroplane and one of your shoe. Caption – Lost, but don’t find me.

“Nothing with your music in it. That’s not a great look. If you want it bad bad, always be selling yourself. Leave the mysterious shit for when you’ve won! Even then, still leave it.”

Simi’s message for upcoming artistes
