A 60-year-old suspect has been arrested for orchestrating the kidnapping of children in Abuja.

The aged lady, identified as Ifeaoma Uzor, and another 29-year-old Lukman Isiaka, were arrested for engaging in interstate child trafficking, according to the FCT police command.

From the preliminary investigation, TopNaija gathered that Isiaka goes about the streets of various states, tricking young children with a flavored drink and asking them to come along with him until he successfully kidnaps them out of sight and suspicion. After the act, he allegedly sells them to Ifeoma at the sum of N180,000 per headcount, of which the aged woman, Ifeoma would sell the child to interested buyers at N850,000 per head.

According to reports, three children were recovered from the suspects and have been successfully reunited with their families. The police spokesperson said the suspects will be charged in court soon.
