Actress, Taraji P. Henson puts wedding on hold as uncle dies from Coronavirus

Hollywood actress, Taraji P. Henson has put her wedding on hold following the death of her uncle from Coronavirus ‘complications’.

The 49-year-old Empire star, who is engaged to Kelvin Hayden, said she made the decision because there’s too much to consider during the global coronavirus crisis.

Speaking in an interview with Access Hollywood, she said: ‘I’m pausing because there’s so much to take into consideration now. We’ve all been changed after this.’

She added: ‘I just lost an uncle who we think may have had complications of coronavirus. It’s a lot to think about, and I just think we should pause, stop, and just think this thing through. Humanity will be forever changed after this!’

Taraji also revealed that she has lost 5lbs since self-isolating during the global pandemic and admitted that she misses her ‘freedom’ and ‘hugging’ people.

She added: ‘I have lost 5lbs and I have been eating, drinking… I have a girl friend who lives right through the alley, but everyone has to be responsible so we sit on our FaceTime and we have a cocktail every night.’

Taraji P. Henson and former NFL player Kelvin Hayden got engaged back in 2018.
