Actress Ruth Kadiri recounts being in labour for 22 hours

Nigerian actress Ruth Kadiri has taken to Instagram to reminisce on her delivery as her daughter reign celebrates her 2nd birthday tomorrow, 26th August.

Posting a throwback photo of herself in the hospital and a doctor beside her, Ruth Kadiri, she was already in labour at this time two years ago.

According to Kadiri, she was in labour for 22 hours, adding her daughter remains the best thing that happened to her and her husband.

In her words “Can’t keep calm. My daughter will be TWO tomorrow. At this time two years ago I was already in labour. And was in labour for 22 hours. Wheeeeeew. Story for another day. Dear reign. So you know you’re the best thing that ever happened to US.

TopNaija recalls that Ruth Kadiri in a recent interview addressed the speculation that she is always hiding her husband.

In her words “Okay, first of all, my marriage is not top-secret. If it were top-secret, you wouldn’t know that I’m married. Secondly, my husband is not top-secret, if you are close to me and you know me in the real sense, you would know that he’s not a secret.

My husband goes to location, he visits my set when I’m working. He’s home, my friends come home, they know him, they’ve had interactions with him, family and friends know him, what else? That’s just about it. I’m not about stressing emotionally, mentally, I’m just okay. Anybody that knows me personally, knows my husband and that’s alright.”

Ruth Kadiri ventured into Nollywood in the movie Boys Cot and since then has over fifty movies to her credit. As a screenwriter, Ruth Kadiri has written and co-written several movies including Matters Arising, Heart of a Fighter, Ladies Men, Sincerity, First Class and Over the Edge.
