Actor Adan Canto confirmed dead after battle with Appendiceal Cancer
Actor, Adan Canto known for his lead role in the series, ‘The Cleaning Lady’, has reported died at the age of 42.
Adan Canto life story saw him transitioning from a successful musician in Mexico to becoming a leading actor. He died following a battle with appendiceal cancer on Monday, January 8.
He was also known for his role as Vice President-elect Aaron Shore opposite Kiefer Sutherland in Designated Survivor.
Canto most recently starred in the TV series The Cleaning Lady, playing a lead character for the first two seasons.
Canto, who was born in Ciudad Acua, Coahuila, Mexico, and raised in Texas, left home at the age of 16 to pursue a career as a singer and guitarist in Mexico City.
After being scouted for a major role in Kevin Williamson’s 2013 series The Following, he soon turned his attention to acting.
Along with Designated Survivor, the handsome actor was also known for his roles in Mixology and Blood & Oil on television.
Canto has spent the last two years on The Cleaning Lady as gangster Arman Morales, opposite Élodie Yung.
Canto is best known for his performance as Sunspot in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Canto’s wife, Stephanie Ann Canto, and their two young children, Roman Alder, three, and Eve Josephine, one, survive him.
