ABC Transport Founder retires, hands over to Brother
ABC Transport Plc, a leading transportation and logistics company, has announced the retirement of its founder, Mr. Frank Nneji, and the appointment of his younger brother, Jude Nneji, as the acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO).
The retirement of Frank Nneji, who established the company in 1993, marks a significant transition in the leadership of ABC Transport. The announcement regarding the change in management was made through an official statement released by the company.
Effective from June 30, 2023, Jude Nneji assumes the role of acting MD/CEO, following his appointment by the Board of Directors. The statement expressed gratitude to Frank Nneji for his invaluable contributions to the company.
“The Board of Directors hereby expresses its gratitude to Mr. Frank Nneji for all his sacrifices, innovations, and outstanding vision, which have propelled the company to its current position of prominence in the transportation and logistics sector,” the statement read.
While Frank Nneji steps down as MD/CEO, he will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Director on the Board, ensuring his ongoing involvement with the company he founded.
Jude Nneji, in his new capacity as acting MD/CEO, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceuticals from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Prior to his recent appointment, he served as the Deputy Managing Director of ABC Transport.
With over 18 years of experience as a member of the Board, Jude Nneji possesses a deep understanding of the company’s operations and strategic direction. He has spent over 27 years in the professional transportation and logistics sector, honing his expertise in the industry.
Jude Nneji’s professional development includes attending the Advanced Management Programme (AMP 14) and Chief Executive Programme (CEP 21) at the prestigious Lagos Business School. He has also undergone various training programs both locally and internationally, specifically focused on transportation and logistics.
Having been with ABC Transport since its inception, Jude Nneji has worked closely with the retiring MD/CEO, gaining valuable insights into the company’s operations and corporate culture.
