Gospel singer Tope Alabi’s mother dies at 70

 

 

Tope Alabi has lost her mother, Agnes Kehinde Obayomi who was aged 70.

The woman, who served God till her death, passed on yesterday, February 23, 2017. Her husband and children that include the gospel singer survive her.

‘She’s an old woman and her time has come,’ a spokesperson for Tope told the press when asked if the deceased was sick before her passing.

‘She’s a Christian and a believer. She served God till her death.’

April has been chosen for the burial of Agnes Kehinde Obayomi, but her family would be meeting next week to decide the final burial arrangements.

Her daughter, Tope Alabi is presently more popular for her song, ‘Aye Le’, which has been sampled in thousands of funny videos in the past two years. In October 2016, New York State Senator Ruben Diaz honoured the singer, for her dedication to the betterment of her community.
