Liverpool coach tells break-out Midfielder to leave the club

Things are starting to get edgy for some players, particularly the youngsters at Liverpool as head coach, Arne Slot has advised rising star, Stefan Bajcetic to leave the club temporarily.

The young sensation, who made his break through during a crisis ridden season for the Reds in 2022/23 is on the verge of a temporary departure from Anfield this summer. Bajcetic exodus from the first team squad has been given the green light by Liverpool’s new boss, Arne Slot, to seek playing time elsewhere.

If the recent reports are to yield anything for Liverpool, the premier league side are about to get stacked in the midfield position if they can get over the deal for Martin Zubimendi done with. Hence, this leaves the Defensive Midfield position covered, thus limiting game time for the promising midfielder.

As the Reds gear up for a fierce title challenge under Slot’s leadership, the Dutch manager has been busy refining his squad. Slot, who has already led Liverpool to preseason victories over Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United in the United States, is now making tough decisions to streamline his team.

Bajcetic, who joined Liverpool from Celta Vigo in January 2021, quickly became a fan favorite with his composed performances in the heart of midfield. The teenager made 19 senior appearances during his breakout season under former manager Jürgen Klopp. However, a late-season injury set off a chain of fitness issues that have plagued him for the past 18 months.

With the competition for places intensifying, Slot is prepared to let Bajcetic gain valuable experience away from Anfield.

According to a report from The Anfield Talk, the Reds have informed the promising midfielder that he is free to leave on a temporary basis.

However, this feels more like a myopic decision on Arne Slot’s part, considering Stefan Bajcetic prior to going on an injury lay-off a season ago, has proven his versatility under Jurgen Klopp. The Spanish youngster initially started as a Centre Back, with his position changing under Jurgen Klopp who was able to utilize him as a no. 6, no. 8 and even at Right Back.
