House of the Dragon's Mily Alcock joins Superman Legacy

Milly Alcock won’t be mounting a dragon this time, but flying under the yellow Sun as Superman’s cousin.

From being the ‘Realm’s Delight’ in House of the Dragon and flying the Targaryen banner as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Milly Alcock will be flying the cape as the Last Daughter of Krypton opposite co-star, David Corenswet in the WB relaunched DC Universe.

Milly Alcock for some weeks had been reported to be in the running to star as Supergirl following the recent box office disappointment that was ‘The Flash‘ that starred Sasha Calle as the character.

The House of the Dragon alum is now set to don the famous Red in the upcoming Superman Legacy project, joining a host of cast that include David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as the infamous Superman villain; Lex Luthor.

The DC Universe project headed by DC Films’ head, James Gunn will also introduce other DC Comics characters to the project, with Nathan Fillion reported to be playing the Green Lantern character, Guy Gadner and Isabela Merced appearing as Hawkgirl in the film.

Following the 2025 project, Milly Alcock will next fly into the reported Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow film to continue her role as the Last Daughter of Krypton.

Confirming the casting. the DCU boss, James Gunn who also directed the Marvel Studios films; Guardians of the Galaxy, took to social media to write;

“This is accurate. Milly is a fantastically talented young actor, and I’m incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU. Yes, I first became aware of her in House of the Dragon but I was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for #Supergirl.”

The upcoming Superman Legacy film is intended to reboot the failed DC Extended Universe that was launched by Man Of Steel and Rebel Moon director, Zack Snyder.
