Arsenal reportedly ready to loose star to Chelsea

According to reports from the UK Times, North London club, Arsenal are ready to sell their academy graduate. Emile Smith Rowe to West London rivals, Chelsea.

This follows the English midfielder’s growing frustrations at the Emirates over a lack of playing time after his promotion from the academy into the first team squad under former manager, Unai Emery.

The 23-year-old has not featured for the Gunners since the 2023/24 season started, with Emile Smith Rowe now on the fringes in Mikel Arteta’s first team squad.

The England U-21 star featured for only three minutes in the FA Community Shield win on penalties against Manchester City this season, which as much the game time the midfielder has featured in this season.

Arsenal have reportedly not placed a price tag on a fee that takes Emile Smith Rowe out of North London but he is believed to be one of the players the Gunners can recoup a lot of money on after spending roughlyabout £170million net this summer window.

Also included in the sale list option according to the UK Times is defender, Gabriel who has been out from the team since the first opening 3 league games. However it all depends on Arsenal finding a suitable replacement on the market.

Should Emile Smith Rowe’s move to West London materialize, this will be the 3rd business the Gunners will be engaging with Chelsea over the last two transfer windows, with Arsenal having brought in Jorginho and Kai Havertz from the Blue half of London.
