Nigerians is not safe -- Vic O

Nigerian singer and rapper, Victor Ncha Odu, popularly known as Vic O, has taken to social media to lament the poor security situation in Nigeria after being robbed of almost everything he had.

In a post on his Instagram page, Vic O, who recently returned from Europe, revealed that he was robbed and nearly stripped of all his belongings. The rapper expressed his disappointment at the current state of security in the country, stating that Nigeria is no longer safe.

He wrote, “Damn… I just got robbed. They took almost everything from me. This Naija isn’t safe o.”

Following the post, several fans and followers expressed sympathy for the rapper, with some also sharing their own experiences with robbery and insecurity in Nigeria.

This is not the first time Vic O has taken to social media to express his disappointment. In a video shared on his Instagram page, he blasted the organizers of the Headies Awards for failing to recognize him. Vic O expressed his dismay at not being nominated for any of the categories, despite what he described as “dropping hits back to back.”

The Headies Awards ceremony, which celebrates the best of Nigerian music, was held in the United States in 2022. Several contemporary Nigerian singers were honored for their works, but Vic O did not receive a nomination.

In his video, Vic O accused the awards organizers of playing politics, stating that everything in Nigeria is political. He further expressed his disappointment at being overlooked despite his consistent efforts and contributions to the music industry.

Vic O is known for his unique style of music and has released several hit songs over the years. He has a large following on social media and has often used his platform to speak out about social and political issues affecting Nigeria.
