Chelsea Myth That Proves Morocco Could Win The World Cup

If there is anything the Qatar World Cup has done so far, it’s dazzle football lovers all around the world and surprise them with shocking results, right from the group stages of the tournament to the knockouts, however there is one Chelsea trend that shows the surprises aren’t over just yet.

We all know how the Blues fandom cherishes a well-cooked myth that is well-buttered by historical stats. They started the narrative with the 2011/2012 Champions League season and 2020/21 UCL season comparisons which later ended with Chelsea winning the Champions League approximately 9 years after winning it in 2012, which they decidedly rearranged to prove 2021.

And now, the fans are up at it again by bringing up humorous facts relating the previous World Cup winners with former Chelsea players and the squad numbers which coincidentally fit the year the world cup was won.

It all dates back to 2010 when former Chelsea player, Juan Mata who wore the number 10 jersey number at the club, successfully winning the world cup with Spain in the year 2010.

The trend was then followed 4 years later by Schurle in 2014 who wore the number 14 jersey number at Stamford Bridge going further to win the world cup with Germany in the same year.

In 2018, coincidentally, Olivier Giroud played for the Blues and wore the number 18 jersey number, and as you can imagine, the year 2018 became the year France won the world cup, with Giroud being an instrumental figure in the squad.

And now, it is the year 2022, and a certain Chelsea player wears the number 22 and currently has his team in the semi-final with an eye ahead for the world cup final.

Your guess as to who the player is for you to decide, but will the Chelsea myth come true again and give the world one last shocker to earmark the Qatar world cup tournament as the best in recent memory?

The Blues fandom though loves a well-narrated myth, but if this comes out true, then we may want to consider the jersey number of any player for the West London club ahead of the next world cup to save us the troubles.
