Published

on

It’s no longer news that Nollywood actors are generally not well paid.

Unless you are a Genevieve Nnaji or Mercy Johnson Okojie who earns about N1.2million per role, you fall in that category.

Now, there are some who take home sums in the range N40,000 to N150,000 yet live surprisingly luxurious and flamboyant lives.

Below is a list of Nollywood actresses whose lifestyles doesn’t match their acting career.

Mercy Aigbe

Mercy takes Dubai

No doubt, she is talented and highly fashionable. Mercy Aigbe remains one of the hottest actresses in the industry right now.

But according to findings, the actress earns about N200,000 per movie, except in a few English movies in which she earns more.

She also has a couple of endorsements but all that’s not enough to fund the life she shows us.

According to our findings, the actress goes on at least three trips abroad per year, which cost N1.2m per trip. And she usually flies business class on those trips.

Last year, she went on an express business trip to Dubai, and proceeded to China and then United Kingdom.

While the Edo-born actress is currently going through divorce proceedings with her hotelier husband, Lanre Gentry, we gathered that her estranged husband’s business had dwindled and, thus he couldn’t have contributed so much to those luxury trips.

We however gathered that the actress has sponsors in high places, who cannot wait to shower more gifts on her and turn her life around, once she is done with her divorce.

Lizzy Anjorin

Other than her latest movie, Owo Naira Bet which she is promoting, the last time Yoruba actress, Lizzy Anjorin appeared in a top-rated Nollywood film was about three years ago.

Regardless, Anjorin lives in a posh apartment in the upscale Lekki area and drives a Range Rover Evogue. Wawuu!

Although, her bio reads actress, singer, presenter, producer, director, songwriter and business mogul, one can’t but wonder if the actress is making movies or making things other than movies. Time will tell.

Biodun Okeowo

CEO of Victoria’s Beauty Place, Okeowo has two children whom she’s very proud of.And the curvy actress is usually a head spinner at events.

But that is not why we are here.

We have gathered that though she takes home around N150,000 for a movie project, an unbothered Okeowo still goes on expensive trips around the world.

She loves to distinguish herself by booking first class tickets and also has a store located in Ogba said to be worth several millions of naira.

A reliable source who asked to remain anonymous told TheNETng, ‘So you think the money these actors make is from movie making and business? Think again. How much do they earn? Look at their lifestyle on Instagram, It doesn’t add up.’

Tayo Sobola

Sotayo Gaga

CEO, Sotee Entertainment, is no doubt hardworking. But we cannot verify the definition of hardworking here.

Sotayo Gaga as she’s popularly known has been in the industry for about 10 years and threw a lavish party on her birthday last year.

With a special appearance more grand than that of the queen of England, Sotayo was presented with a G wagon from a secret admirer, who has been reported to be a politician and association boss.

She was however called out when she tried to sell the G-Wagon, as reports had it that she could not maintain it.

Rosy Meurer

Churchill’s PA

Until the Tonto Dikeh marriage saga, ardent Nollywood fans declared that they have never seen, self acclaimed actress, Rosy Meurer on the screens.

But Meurer, who was rumoured to have snatched Dikeh’s husband, Olakunle Churchill, from her, is a happy go lucky girl.

And very pretty
