46-year-old man lures daughter with N50, rapes her

On Tuesday, police officials in Bauchi State arrested a 46-year-old man for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter at the Odoji Quarter in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of the state.

 

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday.

He said, “On July 31, 2020, around 2pm, one Umar Mohammed, alias Wulas, 46, of Odoji Quarter, Azare, met his daughter of the same address, who is mentally unsound, lured her with N50 and had carnal knowledge of her in her mother’s room.

“While suspect was arrested on August 6, 2020, the victim was taken to the General Hospital, Azare for medical examination.

“The suspect confessed to the crime, while investigation is ongoing after which the suspect will be charged as soon as possible.”

Wakil also said on August 9, the police received a report that four men conspired and kidnapped a 14-year-old girl and kept her for one month in a house in the Misau Local Government Area of the state.

He added that the suspects gang-raped the victim repeatedly within the period.

He stated, “On August 9, 2020, a report was received at the Misau Police Station that one Usman Adamu, 20, of Nasarawa area, Misau, criminally conspired with Adamu Muhammad, 21; Nura Musa and Khalid Abdullahi, who is now at large, all of Nasarawa area, abducted a 14-year-old girl of the Hardawa area and kept her in a house located in the same Nasarawa area for almost a month.

 

“All the suspects mentioned above had canal knowledge of the girl. Upon receipt of the report, a team of detectives was drafted to the scene and the victim was rushed to the General Hospital, Misau, for medical examination.

“The suspects were arrested and they confessed to the crime.”
