4 Clubs Progress Into The Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals

Ahead of the current Carabao cup champions taking on the current premier league champions on Thursday, some English clubs within this year’s edition of the competition have earned a place in the quarter-finals of the fixture after facing off on Tuesday.

With the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar, attention turns immediately to club football as the premier league top guns gear up for the next phase of the 2022/23 campaign in earnest starting with the Carabao cup.

Following the conclusion of Tuesday’s round of 16 matches, at least four (4) clubs have qualified into this season’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal.

Following their victories on Tuesday, teams like Wolves, Southampton, Newcastle United, and Leicester City have all moved through to the fourth round.

Gillingham was defeated 2-0 by Wolves, and Southampton defeated Lincoln City 2-1.

Leicester City destroyed MK Dons 3-0, while Newcastle United overcame Bournemouth by a score of 1-0.

On Wednesday and Thursday, among other matches, the remaining Carabao Cup round of 16 matches will continue. Manchester United will play Burnley.

On Thursday night, Manchester City will play Liverpool at the Etihad.
