On Sunday, Agban Kagoro of Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State, was attacked at night. The southerners have killed 37 people including two additional soldiers.

Despite the imposition of the 24-hour-curfew, unidentified invaders attacked Zango-Kataf community which is a few kilometres apart from the two councils under curfew, and herders’ settlements burnt.

Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, revealed on Wednesday 23, that three corpses in addition to earlier count, were evacuated from Jema’a and Kaura.

According to the Commissioner, the Fountain of Life Baptist Church, Kafanchan was also invaded and its glass windows broken. A bus which was reported owned by the Baptist School of Health Technology, Kafanchan was attacked and its driver was seriously bruised with cutlass. The commissioner said he is currently receiving treatment.

In furtherance from the commissioner’s statement, there was also an attack on two herders’ settlements in Zauru and Kurdan in Zangon Kataf Local governement areas by hoodlums who left the scene burning.

The commissioner stated thus, “Security agencies have reported that they have discovered three corpses of some citizens killed by a mob on Monday in two locations in both Kaura and Jema’a LGAs.

“The corpse picked around Kagoro Roundabout has been identified as the remains of one Ibrahim Isiyaku (Danasabe) of No 143, Bauchi Street, Kafanchan.

“Two other corpses recovered at a location named ‘Binzom’ behind the Kafanchan campus of Kaduna State University have also been identified as the remains of Malam Ibrahim Rilwanu and Malam Lawali Zubairu, both of No.5 Emir Road of Kafanchan.
