300-level student falls to his death from building while doing carpentry work

Tragedy struck at Plateau State University (PLASU) Bokkos as a 300-level Microbiology student, Moses Simon Gajok, lost his life after falling from a building under construction.

The 28-year-old 300-level student, who was also working as a carpenter, fell from the top floor of the building while on duty.

Details of the incident are still unclear as investigations are ongoing.

However, the sad news was confirmed by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the institution, Comrade Peter Arin Kaze, in a statement issued on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Gajok, who was pursuing his degree in Microbiology at PLASU, was known to be a diligent student and a skilled carpenter by profession.

His sudden and tragic death has left the university community and his family in deep shock and grief.

According to reports, Gajok’s funeral has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at his family compound in Dahwol Loh Chak, Kuru, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State

 

“I want to use this medium to condole with the family of late Mr. Moses Simon, Indeed PLASITES and the family have lost a hero and will forever miss you. May God almighty forgive you your sins. May the host of angels receive your soul. May his light be with you. And above all may your soul continue to rest in peace with the Lord. Amen. Plasites are still in shock and will miss you,” the statement read.
