23-Year-Old Man Stabs 4-Year-Old Nephew to Death in Kenya

In a tragic incident that has shocked the community, a 23-year-old man identified as Silas Kipkosgei has allegedly stabbed his 4-year-old nephew to death in Kilingot village, Baringo North, Kenya.

The man, who was reportedly the guardian of the young boy, lured him into his house with sweets and rock cakes before carrying out the heinous act.

According to reports, the incident unfolded when the boy’s grandmother returned from the farm to check on her grandson and serve him lunch.

To her dismay, she was unable to find him. Growing increasingly worried, she called out to the suspect, who was inside the house, but received no response.

Local elder Solomon Cheptumo provided further details, stating that the grandmother sought assistance from the community in searching for the missing child.

Unfortunately, their worst fears were realized when they discovered the lifeless body of the little boy. He had been stabbed three times in the neck.

“She then peeped through the window, seeing Kipkosgei sitting at the edge of the sofa watching his nephew, with some blood flowing on the sofa, she pleaded with him to open the door but he did not respond, and that’s when she suspected something was wrong and called out for help from the neighbors.

“Upon arrival, we made our way inside the living room, and to our shock found Kipkosgei drinking water from a cup while staring at the body of the deceased which was lying lifeless on the sofa with blood oozing from the stabbed wounds,” neighbors said.

The community, overwhelmed with grief and anger, was on the verge of taking matters into their own hands.

However, the police intervened just in time to prevent any act of violence and apprehended the suspect.
