2023 Presidency: Ogbonnaya Onu resigns

The Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has reportedly resigned today, after the directive of the President Buhari.

The President  had ordered that all members of his cabinet and appointees contesting the 2023 election resign on or before May 16, 2022.

This was announced during the FEC meeting today, Wednesday May 11, at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

Reliable but anonymous sources disclosed that Ogbonnaya Onu has tendered his resignation.

The source said, “The minister was at the office of the SGF to drop his resignation. That was expected seeing as the president asked that they all should resign”.

The Minister had declared his intention to run for the presidency under the APC on Friday, May 6.
