Barring any last minutes change in plans, the proposed mega party projected to wrestle power out of the ruling All Progressive Congress in 2019 would be named before the end of 2016.

Topnaija.ng gathered that the disgruntled elements in the two leading political parties in Nigeria are in advanced stages of their realignment to change the nation’s political landscape with the new party.

Though there have been denials by political bigwigs from both APC and PDP about the new party, reporters were reliably informed weekend that barring any last minute change, the conveners of the new party would conclude everything and made it public before end of the year.

To give the party the right momentum and equally send a message of their intent, the sponsors were said to have been drawn from all the six geo- political zones of the country. The source noted they would converge on Abuja, the nation’s capital, Monday, December 19th, 2016 to conclude on a name for the new party.

It was gathered that the suggested name of the new mega party would be Action Democratic Party, ADP. If members agree on the name and structure, all the documents would then be forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to commence the process of full registration.

According to a source who pleaded anonymity, “the name of the new party is Action Democratic Party, ADP, we will meet on 19th December in Abuja to look at the structure and send the name to INEC the name.

“At the meeting, we will determine who would be the protem Chairman. Everyone will be invited. Those expected are from the six geo- political zones of the country as well as the Senatorial districts. “Our proposed party will come out from the ashes of PDP.”

There have been denials by political heavyweights in Nigeria about the formation of the party. It is believed that many of the chieftains of the APC and PDP, including some Senators and House of Reps members are part of the underground work.

The Lawmakers have not taken any position as they have remained silent over the issue.
