2 babies, 4 passengers dead in Delta road accident

At least six persons, including two newborn babies, have reportedly died in a fatal accident at Ibusa Bypass, close to ADP Farms, in the Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The fatal accident occurred on Thursday around 12 noon at a diversion point.
Based on TopNaija’s findings, vehicles were diverted to one lane due to ongoing construction works on the second lane.
A witness told our correspondent that six people were severely injured. He said, “The accident involved a Rodinna fast food vehicle carrying provisions and a commercial bus carrying passengers.
“Six persons died, including two newborn babies, while about six other persons were injured.”
The Delta State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Uchechukwu Wihioka, said four persons were confirmed dead as of the time of the rescue operation.
He stated that the accident was caused by reckless driving.
