19-year-old girl kidnapped in Ondo

Gunmen kidnapped a 19-year-old girl in Imoru community in Ose Local Government Area, Ondo State.

The victim identified as Adetutu Okinbaloye, was kidnapped after the abductors, reportedly seven in number, stormed the residence where she lived and macheted her aunt for resisting them.

Sources in the community told Daily Post that the abductors had contacted the family with a demand for N10 million ransom.

Local vigilante members in the community have been combing the forest for the trails of the kidnappers.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya said,

“The issue at Imoru was not officially reported at the station, but the DPO confirmed that the monarch of the town told him that three people were abducted by unknown gunmen. While two escaped, the third person was whisked away”.
