14 Persons Dead, Terrorists Killed, all now under control – Kenyatta | Watch!

Kenya’s President, Uhuru Kenyatta has confirmed that the operation at Dusit Hotel complex where al-Shabab terrorists attacked Tuesday afternoon is over with all four militants killed.

Kenyatta, in a televised statement, said 14 people were killed and over 700 others had been safely evacuated.

In the same vein, Kenya’s interior minister Fred Matiang’i also said that all the buildings affected by the al-Shabab attack on a hotel complex in Nairobi have been secured.

“I would like to reiterate that the situation is under control and the country is safe,” Matiang’i said, adding that security forces are in the final stages of operation.

He however, did not give details on casualties or fatalities, but witnesses have reported up to five bodies in the attack.
