The Public Relations Officer of the command, Emeka Peter, reported this in a press statement on Wednesday in Delta State’s capital, Asaba.

In the statement, the state commandant, Abiodun Iskilu, said that the alleged vandals, between the ages of 32 years and 66 years, were caught transporting vandalized crude oil pipes at Evurode in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State.

According to Iskilu, the operatives of Operation Delta Safe of the Nigerian Army handed over the 11 suspects to the defense Corps, NSCDC due to the synergy and collaboration by both organizations.

He further stated that the NSCDC was determined to smoke out all criminals operating in the state.

The State Commandant pledged to heat up the security temperature to make it unbearable for criminal elements to operate in Delta.

While assuring the people of Delta State to go about their legitimate business without fear of intimidation or molestation, the NSCDC commandant stated that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
