Mrs. Jonathan claimed that Magu’s letter led to subsequent investigation by the British Government, which found her not wanting and subsequently issued her with a visa.

1. Nothern leader and former governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has warned the Nigerian government against passing the Bill before the House of Representatives seeking amnesty for treasury looters.

Musa, who noted that bill is immoral and shows the level of moral degeneration the country has attained, especially at the leadership level, said it would only encourage corruption in the system.

2. The management of Eko Electricity Distribution Company, on Sunday, announced that there would be power outage in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and its environs, because some of their injection substations and equipment had been submerged with flood.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications, EKEDC, Mr Godwin Idemudia, said they were having challenges in almost all its injection substations, as a result of the flood from recent heavy downpour in the area.

1. The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, has revealed how two army officers allegedly colluded with two employees of a top commercial bank to divert the sum of N339m from the account of the Military Pensions Board.

Magu, in a letter addressed to the Chief of Defence Staff, said the suspects, who were later charged with fraud offences on May 31, 2017, allegedly opened 33 accounts with a commercial bank into which the MPB’s funds were diverted.
