Four kidnapped students of Bethel Baptist School regain freedom

Abductors have done another piecemeal release of 10 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, after 81 days in captivity.

Kaduna State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab, said 11 students are still being held by the abductors.

He expressed hope they will be released soon.

“Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits.

“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support. And we trusting God that the rest will be released very soon,” he said.

The 121 students were abducted on 5 July when the gunmen broke into their school at Damishi along the Kaduna – Kachia highway, Chikun Local Government Area.

The bandits have been releasing the students in batches after ransom was collected.
