When it was initially released by Nike for mass consumption on September 10, Wizkid’s Starboy jersey sold out in just 10 minutes.

The limited edition Starboy jersey created by Nike Football was re-issued on Monday, October 1, and it is yet again out of stock.

The quantity of jerseys produced by the sports/active wear maker is unknown.

The co-creation stadium shirt costs £64.95 and according to Nike, it is a celebration of Wizkid’s Nigerian roots. The partnership is the first between Nike and a Nigerian entertainer.

The logo of Starboy Entertainment, Wizkid’s record label, is printed across the front of the jersey. The jersey’s green and white trimmings reflect the Nigerian flag.

Nike describes the design as “a fitting celebration of both personal and collective talent and ingenuity, and one that defines Wizkid’s dizzying accomplishments and Nigeria’s growing cultural footprint”.

Apart from his Starboy jersey being re-issued, the singer also released two new songs on Nigeria’s Independence Day.

The singer put out the two songs — ‘Fever’ and ‘Master Groove’ — at once.
