How To Make Sponge Cake Ingredients: 6 Ouces margarine 6 ounces caster sugar 6 ounce self raising flour 1 t spoon vanilla essence A pinch of salt A pinch of nutmeg 4 large eggs (fresh) Method: 1 Put the margarine into the mixing bowl 2 Add the sugar and mix together till creamy and smooth 3 Add your eggs one at a time so its creamier and not cuddle. 4 Add about a teaspoonful of the vanilla essence into the mixture 5 Add the flour to the mixture by folding it in till all well incorporated. 6 Preheat the oven for about 5-10 min 7 Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin. 8 Put the tin of cake mixture into the oven and bake for 15- 20 min at 150C/ 300F / Gas Mark 2. [don’t open the door till it rises so the cake will not fall in] 9 Use your toothpick /skewer to check whether its ready 10 Remove from the oven , allow to cool and remove from the tin. 11 Serve with soft drinks as afters etc.
