UNN Updated Undergraduate Academic Calendar 2017/2018

This is to inform the general public especially prospective and old students of University of Nigeria (UNN) that the school management has released the academic calendar for 2017/2018 session.

According to the UNN Academic calendar New students should have resumed October 19th, 2017 while returning students will resume 26th October, 2017.

A llok at the UNN academic calendar also revealed the the Matriculation ceremony for 2017/2018 session will be on December 16th, 2017 10th February, 2018. While UNN convocation for 2017/2018 session will be will be on November 27th, 2017.

UNN first semester examination is expected to be begin February 26 while the session should end before March 20th, 2018

FIRST SEMESTER 2017/2018 SESSION

OCTOBER 2017

Tuesday 03 – Sunday 08 – FOUNDERS DAY CEREMONIES

Thursday 19 – Arrival of freshmen/provision of accommodation

Monday 23 – Registration begins for freshmen

Thursday 26 – Arrival of old students/provision of accommodation

Monday 30 – Registration begins for old students

NOVEMBER 2017

Wednesday 01 – University-wide Orientation for freshmen begins

Friday 02 – Departmental Orientation

Monday 06 – Lectures begin for both fresh and old students

Friday 10 – Registration ends for old students

Monday 13 – Late registration begins for old students

Friday 24 – Late registration ends for old students

NOVEMBER 27 – DECEMBER 03: CONVOCATION CEREMONIES

DECEMBER 2017

Friday 15 – Registration ends for freshmen

SATURDAY 16 MATRICULATION CEREMONY

Wednesday 20 – Lectures end and Christmas break begins

JANUARY 2018

Tuesday 02 – Christmas break ends/Students return to campus

Wednesday 03 – Lectures resume

FEBRUARY 2018

SATURDAY 10 MATRICULATION CEREMONY

Monday 19 – Revision begins

14th to 15th – University-wide Orientation for freshmen

Friday 23 – Revision ends

Monday 26 – Departmental Examinations begin

MARCH 2018

Friday 02 – Departmental Examinations end

Monday 05 – Examination in inter-faculty and inter- disciplinary courses begin

Friday 16 – Examination in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses begin

End of First Semester and Students vacate Campus

APRIL 2018

Monday 02 – Students return to Campus

Tuesday 03 – Registration begins for all students

  • Lectures begin

– Last day for submission of first semester results to the Department. Processing of results begins in the Department

Friday 13 – Registration ends

Monday 16 – Late registration begins

Friday 20 – Last day for submission of first semester results to the Registry (Examination). Processing of results in the Registry

– Late registration ends

Friday 27 – Deadline for checking of results by the Heads of Department

Friday 30 – Monday 02 – EASTER BREAK

Monday 09 – Departmental Examinations begin

End of 2017/2018 Session and Students vacate Campus

AUGUST 2018

Friday 10 – Last day for submission of second semester results to the Department and processing of final year students results begins in the Departments

Friday 17 – Last day for submission of second semester results to the Registry (Examinations). Processing of results begins in the Registry.

SEPTEMBER 2018

Friday 14 – Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department

Tuesday 18 – Friday 21 – Faculty Boards meet to consider and approval final year students’ results

OCTOBER 2018

Wednesday 31 – Senate meets to consider and approve final year Students’ results.
