Toyota Bus With Passengers Catches fire on Ife-Ibadan Expressway

A Nigerian Facebook user, Aloma Olamilekan Yusuf, has reported that a Toyota Picnic minibus was involved in an accident on the Ife-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday (Christmas Day) evening, leading to a fire outbreak that allegedly consumed the vehicle.

The fate of the occupants, or the number of passengers, wasn’t known as of the time of filing this report.

Mr. Yusuf had posted on his Facebook wall: “This is happening presently along Ife/Ibadan Expressway, just a few kilometres to Ikire from Ife direction.

“No single soul came out from this accident. As at now, we don’t know the number of people on board.

“It is a Toyota Picnic car with Reg. Number Lagos MUS-345 FC (Private).”

In the accompanying video, onlookers could be heard speaking in Yoruba language, expressing anguish at the scene, and wondering how the car ended up in the ditch.
