The friendliness and unity of Nigerian musicians is second to none as we have them supporting one another in achieving greater feats. However, it is highly impossible for things to go 100% flawless.

There has been records of misunderstanding among these artistes which include sending negative words to each other on social networks, in a concert and some even engaged themselves in physical fights.

Check below to see some of the fights that have ensued among Nigerian musicians in no particular order:

1.Wizkid VS Skales: Wizkid is one artiste in Nigeria that has had brawl with many celebrities. The issue between him and his ex record label mate happened on twitter when Skales reportedly claimed he owns one of the songs Wizkid had earlier released.

This didn’t go down ver well with the star boy which caused controversies between the former mates of EME record label. They exchanged hashed words on the social network including Wizkid telling him he would help Skales kill his already dead career. Oops! That was too sharp from Starboy.

2.Wande Coal VS Don Jazzy: The then Mo’hits record boss, Don Jazzy and one of his then artistes, Wande Coal is another beef we have experienced in Nigeria.

It all started when Wande Coal released a particular song titled ‘Baby Face’ and Don Jazzy expressed his sadness why do people have to steal his works and make him angry just because he is a nice guy.

WC however replied the tweet and attacked his ex boss that even if his claim was right, why did he have to choose the twitter syndrome despite having different forms the can communicate privately without letting the public know.

This is the sole reason why twitter boiled that day with Wande Coal claiming Don Jazzy is never satisfied with his progress after leaving his label despite serving him for man years.

3.Davido Vs Wizkid: Even though they are the biggest artistes in Nigeria and the entirety of Africa, but they also seem to be the most immature set of musicians when it comes to maintaining fame, wealth and popularity.

No one is certain of what actually caused the issue but we all know it is a fight for superiority. They have created more scene that it has affected the fans and we are not sure of when it would end between them. Many at times we have seen them hugging and embracing each other after each fight which has alerted the instinct of many fans that what they are doing could be termed as marketing strategy.

One of the issue they had in the past is when Davido expressed his anxiety on social network as the world famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo followed him on Instagram network app, Wizkid on the other hand hung out with ace American rapper “Future’ in an event thereby tweeted a direct attack on Davido saying ‘The ‘Future’ you see is better than the ‘Footballer (Ronaldo) you don’t see’ making a direct swipe at Davido for celebrating Ronaldo’s IG follow despite not seen him yet.

Davido however replied him with an epic clap back b tweeting that ‘The footballer you don’t see is better than the Drake that never came closer’ making reference to the absence of Drake in Wizkid Come closer music Video. Yuck! They are as childish as that.

4.Olamide And Don Jazzy: When 2 humble fellows disagrees with each other, then there must be something very painful attached. To cut the story short, everyone knew what caused this. It was not a fight for their particular selves but for their subjects as Olamide felt his record label boy, Lil Kesh was robbed of the Next Rated award in the Headies 2015 by giving it to Reekado Banks of Mavins records.

Olamide however expressed anger online and threatened Don Jazzy not to enter the mainland street of Lagos, but we all knew it was a threat developed from anger as he didn’t mean such. It was reported that the fight was settled by the world’s richest black manwho happens to be a Nigerian, Aliko Dangote and everything has been going well between them ever since then.

5.Peter And Paul Okoye (Psquare): There is an African adage that says ‘if a wall fails to open path, there wouldn’t be a route for a lizard to get in through it’. For a set of twin brothers from same parents fighting, then there must be an external force pushing the effort.

Psquare are arguably the most wealthy artiste in Africa before their split with source confirmed it that the problem is internal, it is from the family and their elder brother ‘Jude’ not excluded in the cause of the fight.

The duo who has been enjoying massive acceptance from fans are now performing as a solo artiste without taking along each other. According to reports, Peter decided to split on allegation against his twin brother and their elder brother, claiming also that Paul is no longer ready to cooperate with him, and slandering his wife and kids on social media.

There are man more of musical ‘beefs’ in industry with Wizkid really topping the charts of the artiste that has fought the most with contemporaries. Which other musical fights do you think should be added to the list?
