Snoop Dogg Invests In Swedish Fintech Start-up valued at $2.5bn

Top American rapper, Snoop Dogg, has bought a stake in a Swedish financial technology start-up company.

The firm, Klarna Bank, valued at $2.5bn (£2bn) in 2015, confirmed reports of the East Coast hip-hop legend’s investment but would not comment on the size of it.

“I’ve endorsed them, advised them, and now I’m looking to invest in them. I plan to keep growing the portfolio, ya dig?” Snoop was quoted as saying.

The rapper bought the stake through his investment firm Casa Verde Capital, which has it’s major interests in cannabis-related businesses, such as marijuana delivery service Dutchie, and has also appeared in a YouTube commercial for the company.
