Senate Suspends Plenary For APC NEC

The Nigerian Senate, on Tuesday, suspended its plenary to enable members attend the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) holding in Abuja today.

At the resumed plenary on Tuesday, the leader of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan raised a point of order, seeking the leave of the Senate to adjourn plenary.

The motion which was seconded by the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, was not objected to by members in attendance.

The Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over Tuesday’s plenary therefore pull the question which was agreed to.

The Senate therefore adjourned till Wednesday, 28th February 2018.
